ISSUE
Wells Fargo Wholesale Banking is an enterprise web platform consisting of multiple web applications. Upon login, each enterprise client sees his or her specific set of applications based on type of accounts held. Because this set of applications shown in the platform is unique to each client, the enterprise application must be a web application and not a native app.
As these products or web applications are often designed by different designers, It is essential that designers within the Wells Fargo Wholesale Banking team, adhere to a strict UI framework in order for consistency across applications.
SOLUTION
I was hired to design and test components as well as to perform an audit across the framework, as it was being updated for responsive web.
IMPACT
While I was working with the team, I shared methods I use for quick prototyping and user testing. This led them to hire me to lead the design team in a transition from using obsolete tools and methods to adopting to rapid prototyping software to create prototypes and get to user testing faster. They decided to switch the team from creating wireframes in Adobe Fireworks, to creating prototypes in Axure.
In order for the team to hit the ground running, and to ensure there would be consistency in design across products, I created an entire set of responsive templates and custom widget libraries for the designers. I then led training sessions and provided assistance as they started using prototypes for user testing and development documentation.
- Led a team in the creating of fully responsive Axure templates and widget libraries.
- Trained multiple teams to use new tool Axure.
- Managed project and collaboration by utilizing Jira and Confluence.
